Hello everyone!
Wow, it’s been a heck of a year- COVID closing everything down, teaching from home, then hybrid, a newborn in January… a lot of craziness! It seems like the world is starting to emerge from COVID shutdown, and gigs are trickling back. This means that I can finally emerge from the basement for some fun this summer! I’ve got a wide variety of stuff happening this summer, including directing Little Shop of Horrors at Slinger High School, the return of Big Spoon to summer stages, and some new focus on solo material and duo shows with Marcya Daneille, courtesy of the awesome talents of Allison Emm with Wisconsin Music Ventures. Please check out the tour section on this website, and keep your eyes peeled for more updates soon! This is shaping up to be a cool, if very different summer for music!

The Pot, by TOOL- Work in Progress

Working on a little Tool cover on a bass that just shouldn't sound good playing metal. Fender Sandblasted P-Bass, into a Genz Benz Streamliner 900 and Uber 410, recorded with just a Zoom H2 in the room catching the computer and amp. This is normally my teaching bass (students get freaked out seeing 6 strings), but this thing plays realllllly well!

Also- I’m NOT good with a pick on bass, so this is a step outside the ol’ comfort zone…

New Vid- The Big Gamble live @ Club 400 with Alyce Hart! (Copy)

Hey everyone- about this time last year, I wrote an instrumental tune called The Big Gamble and got it picked up by NoTreble, which was awesome! I never had lyrics or much of a melody for it, as I tend to create more mood-inducing tunes when writing on bass. I recently joined an original music group fronted by Alyce Hart (www.alycehart.com) who loved the song enough that she put lyrics to it. Last night, we performed it in public for the first time, and I think she kills it! Take a listen and let me/us know what you think!
